Over 14 days since the blood donation and I have not heard anything so I have caught nothing nasty. I'm on the message of condoms are essential for everyone's health.
Talking of which...I have been fascinated by a TV series on BBC 3 - "Unsafe Sex in the City". The quote of the series has got to be a young lad saying "you're not a man till you've had chlamydia". What an idiot dickhead (to put it mildly) to say something like that. In my experiences, the people who have the safe sex message are those in the swinging scene and it would seem that despite all the money spent on sex education and the safe sex message, it is not getting through.
It is good to see that some people in the series are going to the get checked up on a regular basis and see it as part of a normal process. But when there are those who go years between check ups but have many partners and unprotected sex, it's not surprising there are so many infections.
Do I really mean to sound that prudish? Not really but I do believe in safe sex for everyone's health.
