Touring The Clubs….again

Diane and I arranged for a night out in a local club. I picked her up and drove to the club. We went in and were immediately spotted by a bloke Diane knew well. I knew him too as I had met before in another club a few years back. We sat chatting for a bit watching the other people arriving. It had the feel of a social night rather than a night in a swinging club.

We had been there for over an hour when Diane said to me that she was not feeling the right atmosphere in the club and didn’t feel like doing anything there. Also the man we were talking to was a bit over powering. I knew Diane had had a problem with him previously but she had forgiven him but still felt a bit awkward round him. I agreed with her and said maybe we could leave and go to another localish club instead.

We left, jumped in my car and drove for a while until we got to the other club. This was the first club we had played in and the one that we had been to first when we toured the clubs before. I liked the place but Diane was not so keen but was willing to give another try. We got there, paid the entrance and went in.

It was quite quiet with not too many people there. We sat and chatted before being joined by another couple. They spoke to us for 10 minutes or so before the man looked at Diane and asked if she wanted to go to a room. It was obvious this was a question for her and not for us as his wife was sitting there not looking at me. Diane said maybe later and they wandered off. I said to her that she could have if she wanted but she said she didn’t want to, well not with him.

We stayed a bit longer before deciding to leave. The venue allows smoking and the smoke was making Diane’s eyes sting. Also there was no one there that Diane was interested in the club. We drove back and I dropped Diane off after a lovely kiss good night.
