Diane and I have seen each other a couple of times socially since our first meet. She sent me a message a week ago, on the Sunday when I cancelled the meet with the black lady. She asked if I wanted to go to Chameleons with her on the Saturday. I said I would but we would confirm closer to the time.
In the following days, the problem which stopped me meeting the black lady, escalated and there was no way I could get out for any meetings now. So it was looking like I would have to cancel a meet for the second time. This is not something I would do unless there was a genuine and serious reason to do so. However, Diane sent me a message during the day saying she would have cancel the trip to Chameleons as she was not up for travelling long distance. Phew….looked like I had got away with not being the one to cancel.
Then Diane sent me a message saying she was going to a local club instead – would I be going too? Bugger. I had to come clean and tell her that she had beaten me to cancelling the meet and I wouldn’t be able to get out. She said she totally understood and sent me a message a couple of days later to see how things were. We are going to try and arrange another meet when things are sorted in a couple of weeks time.
Without going into any details, the problem was resolved and things got back to normal a week later. Just about the same time as Diane deleted her profile again...
