I have been messaging a couple from near to an area that I visit through work for what must be 6 months now. They initially contacted me through Fab saying that they would like to meet me. Each time I am in their area, I have contacted them to let them know and to see if they are free. Each time John has been working away or they have not been free. They are genuine as they have a number of verifications.
This time, it looked like they might be free and we arranged to meet on the first of my nights in the area. This came to nothing though as John had to go away at short notice through work. The second night was a possible but it would be late before they could get to me John was a football fan and wanted to watch his team play.
They sent me a message saying they would be able to meet and we arranged a time and place. So finally it looked like I was going to finally meet Anne and John. I had seen some photos of Anne and she was a slim blonde. The photos did not show her face though. I gave them my mobile number and they said they would text me when they arrived with details of what they were wearing so I could look out for them.
All looked promising and the anticipation and excitement was building. I was in my hotel room after having an early tea finishing off some work. I had planned on grabbing a quick nap before showering and changing then going to the bar ready to meet them. With some 3 hours to go....my phone rang with a number I didn’t recognise. I answered to hear a lady say “Hi it’s Anne”. My heart fell as I knew she was going to cancel. We said hello etc before she said she felt really guilty but they were going to have to cancel as she had to go into work unexpectedly early the next day. She was really sorry and would I let them know when I was next down. I said I would and that I understood about work coming first and all that.
Yes I was disappointed but to be honest, I had a feeling they were not going to make it. I am sure they are genuine about wanting to meet but not so sure about the work excuse. Oh well....time to go out and get a beer instead.

Sure they are gen sometimes life just gets in the way of our fun time but you already know this, oh well there is always a next time.
