Despite the optimism in my last post, this week has been a series of let downs. First of all, Ali and I arranged to meet up on Saturday evening but she cancelled that morning as she was not well. We rearranged for Friday night instead. Friday comes and she says she has woken up feeling rough but would let me know later on if she was up for meeting. That’s it thinks me, the meet is off. Sure enough, about 4pm, I get a messages saying she is cancelling.

Then on Saturday, I had a text from Jane and Pete asking if I was free that evening. I didn’t see the text for 30 minutes and was just reading it when another text arrived from them saying they were sorry but they had just been invited out for a meal and the invite was cancelled.

It seems that Ali was suffering from only a 24 hour bug as she posted a message on Fab saying she was thinking of going to a club and did anyone want to go with her. I won’t bother as being let down twice in a week by her is more than enough for now.

Can't be lucky all the time....
