So….9pm on New Year’s Eve and I log onto my PC to check my messages before some friends arrive to see the New Year in. There’s an e-mail saying I have a message on Fab from Diane. We have continued to message each other since almost meeting up some months ago. She is going to the same club that evening and wanted to know if I was free to go with her.

Bugger – a moment to consider…can I cancel the friends and go? Or do I take the risk of cancelling and her not turning up at the last moment again? But…as I had already had a couple of drinks and would not be legal to drive, I replied by saying that I couldn’t make it and to let me know when she was next going.

And to give me more than an hours notice!

I did wonder if she had made it to the club after all or not as I was drinking with the friends. A couple of days later and Diane’s profile was updated with verification from a couple saying what a great time they had had with Diane and some singles.

Bugger again….

Can't win them all, muppet but at least your brain had enough blood flow to tell you not to drive. Hope the evening you did have was enjoyable :D

You're right Ace - can't win them all and that's part of the game...sometimes you're lucky and other times...well diaries don't coincide.
