The organisers of the Magic Hat event posted that they would be holding a Christmas party in a club in Stoke-on-Trent. I secured my invite and on a freezing December night (hmm hardly likely to be a warm June night for a Christmas party was it) hit the M5 again and headed north…way way north. It took me 2 hours to get to the club and I was half expecting everyone to be speaking in Scottish accents it was that far north. Well it was to a southerner like me!

Entering the club and I found that, apart from the organisers, I didn’t know anyone. I did recognise a few of the ladies from photos on the group site.
