The Walk
I drove to a recognised trail, a route I know well. It breaks off from other paths and goes up so far but ends abrubptly so is quieter than other paths.
In the car park. There was a group of 4 camper vans in the main car park, the owners out on deck chairs, so I parked off to the side, near a route up and with no other car next to mine. So maybe it was quiet today.
I grabbed by bag and set off up the hill commando, in a t-shirt, jeans, shoes [no socks] and sunglasses. About half way up I reached the point where I considered changing into my shorts, which as I was commando would mean briefely revealing myself to anyone else on the path. I hesistated and so decided to keep going up. This was just as well cause in less than a minute I passed a young woman walking down with her 2 dogs.
About 2/3 of the way up I'd seen no one else coming down, and since the car park was quiet and I know that this route is a dead end I guessed no one was coming down. I slipped off my shirt, putting this in my bag, and immediately felt the cooler air around me. This adventure needed a measure of time so I set a stopwatch running on phone. About 3 minutes after getting dressed and our of nowhere was a dog. This was swiftely followed by it's owner, and his young daughter. I felt very relieved to be dressed and not continuing down in the path in only my skin. That would have take considerable explaining.
As I reached my car I could see it on the left in front of me, with another car parked to it's right, further up the hill. Those with the camper vans were still sitting outside in the main car park, directly in front of my car.
I passed the other car and opened the boot of my car, the boot partily hiding me from those on deck chairs but only just. I decided to make a quick change into some fresh clothes for the drive home. I was ignoring my close encounter with the dog walker, but instead emboldened by my hour nude on the hill. I'd seen no one behind me on the path and I was partily shielded from those on deck chairs by my car, and the path my the back of the parked car to my right.
Standing on the grass I slipped my feet out of my shoes. I unzipped and unbuttoned my shorts, but they didn't fall just yet. I took off my t-shirt and took a fresh short-sleeved shirt from the boot.
