Next day, Rob texted me to ask if I wanted to go round to them that evening. I said I would but would he let me know where they were as I wanted to see how long it would take me etc. He didn’t reply but texted me through out the day saying about how much he and Jane were looking forward to meeting me and seeing what we would get up to. It was getting to the stage where I was getting fed up with his texts as he would never actually commit to a time or place. Eventually he said he would check with Jane and let me know when she got home as she was in an interview and wouldn’t be home till about 8.

From previous experience, I knew they wouldn’t be able to meet until after 9 so was not impressed to know that it would be a case of being told they would meet and I would need to leave straight away. Or perhaps they wouldn’t want to meet and I had got ready for no reason.

I hadn’t heard anything from them by 8.30 so gave up and went to have a beer. Just after 9.30, Rob sent me a text asking if I was still on meeting as they were up for it. I told him it was too late as I had been drinking by then and it was a shame they hadn’t told me earlier. We left it that we might be able to meet on the Thursday evening.
