A:
Chippenham - "From M4 J17 head to Chippenham: first site - turn right
at first set of traffic lights. Turn first left alongside pub (good food and
drink, no flashing) then turn left into picnic area. Second site - go though
first set of lights, take left slip lane after turning left into picnic area.
Both areas are single entrance with loos that are sometimes used by gays etc
and have bench seats and secluded areas. Lunch times are sometimes good but
10.00pm to late is best. The down side is they are both seasonal and are closed
from 31st October to Easter." And Hippo wrote: "I haven't been there
for a few years, but if you are heading from M4 J17 on the A350 toward Chippenham
there is a picnic area about half way along on the right. But beware, it used
to be locked in the winter." (February 2000) Sarah, however, wrote (March
2000) "...this place does not open to the public any more its a building
site..."
