SURREY - GENERAL

42. SURREY - GENERAL

A: Chobham Common - "Take road out of Chobham towards Sunningdale. On common car-park on right. Has two levels, lower level is best. Often after contact people drive to other places nearby off crossroads."

B: Cobham - "Although not strictly Wisley, it's considered as the same area. Head up the A3 NORTH from the M25. Take the first exit - signposted Cobham. Turn right at the roundabout and into the village. Bear left at the roundabout and continue along this road. Pass a large restaurant on the left and a little way past a bus stop, turn left into the American School. You can't miss the concrete sign. Follow this road around and before you pass over the A3, turn right into a car-park with height restriction. Tends to attract couples and 'friends' - we've seen some action here. Especially on summer nights! Doesn't appear to be visited by the Police and tends not to attract gay and bi guys." "From the M25 go NORTH up the A3. Pass the Cobham exit (for 123) and take the second exit. Turn left at the roundabout under the A3 - there is a car-park a couple of hundred yards on the left. Also turn right from the A3 at the roundabout, go up the hill and turn right into Sandy Lane. There are two car-parks on the right. All three of these car-parks attract couples and single guys looking for couples. Although be careful as some straight courting couples come here as well. Patrolled by the Police but we've seen some action in the cars and in the woods behind."

C: Esher - "There is a car-park on Esher Common, leave the A3 at the Esher/Leatherhead turn (A244) and go towards Esher. After about two hundred yards there is an entrance on the left to a secluded car-park. The entrance is easy to miss but there is a place to turn round about a quarter of a mile further on. There are often couples there not wishing to be watched so voyeurs need to be careful. There is plenty of room for everyone though..." "...I am told that there is a car-park near Esher in Surrey that has a good reputation for voyeurism and for possibly joining in the fun and games. It is off the A3 on the northbound A244. The OS Grid Reference is TQ 1394 6240 approximately I believe." Approximately, eh?

"This is my first outing so please bear with me! As of last night (9th July 99), there was one couple giving a display in the car-park off Sandy lane in Esher/Oxshott. I went there and parked. A Dogger came up and said they were willing to give a show, but not with two cars parked there. So could I go round the block for ten minutes. They were packing up when I got back. Shame!" And a Wise Old Dogger's comment: "Bit of a common ploy that was, with dodgers who operate a regular "patch" - they tell newcomers that couples who are putting on a show only want two viewers/regular viewers, and get rid of the new guy..." Alan and Kim wrote (June 2000): "...Hi everyone, we are a couple from Surrey (36 and 33) we are new to this and are very interested in watching and being watched. Kim is bi so we would love to meet other couples. We have taken some pics in Oxshott Woods behind the Sandy Lane car-park... ...we would also love to trade if anyone is interested..."

D: Kingston area - "You might take a look at Ham House car-park. Ham is between Richmond and Kingston. Opposite Richmond Park and between the Ham Gate entrance to the park and Petersham is a road called Sandy Lane. It ends in a 'T' junction. Turn right and just keep going until you are in the car-park. It's often used by courting couples after dark though I've never been aware of any intentionally putting on a show for others. A more experienced Dogger might find differently! Police do visit sometimes but I've never seen them stop."

E: Oxshott - "The car-park for Oxshott woods is used by couples during the evening. It is located about 100 yards on the right of the A244 heading towards Esher, after the main roundabout with the A3."

F: Oxted - "Leave the M25 at J6 (signposted East Grinstead) and head southwards, at the first roundabout at the end of the dual carriageway - turn left onto the A25 - heading towards Oxted and Westerham. Proceed through Oxted on the A25 and up over the top of a golf course. When you start to descend, there is a signposted parking area on the left hand side. This lay-by is used almost exclusively by gay and bi guys. Anything occurring will be found by going onto the field and then left into the woods just up the hillside. If you pass the pub - you've just missed it!"

"Turn right directly opposite the "Grasshopper Inn". After a couple of bends, the road will straighten out for a while. Near the top of this straight - you will find a small unmade car-park on the right hand side. There is a small wooden hut here. In front of you will be the cricket pitch/athletic track. We have seen couples here but again it's mostly gay and bi guys. In the summertime, couples meet in the woods at the other end of the car-park away from the road. Be aware that this is a Police patrolled area - looking for indecency with the gay guys!" Er, is that really what he meant?

"The site in Westerham is supposedly down the road opposite the "Grasshopper Inn", a large Public House on the A25, just to the west of Westerham. Go down there about two miles and it is very wooded. There are numerous places... ...one near a cricket club on the right is popular..." "...Going on up the road, keep to the left at the fork and before the road widens out onto a cricket pitch you will find a car-park on the left hand side. Occasional couples parked at the rear or in the woods in the summer."

G: Richmond/Richmond Park - "I live near Richmond Park in SW London - a much under used resource! It is closed to traffic at dusk, but still open to pedestrians. At night it is marvelous - wide open moonlit spaces - woods, lakes, rivers, mud pools - something for everyone!" "As far as I know nothing organised goes on in the park itself, although there are quite often couples in the long grass to the right of Richmond Gate. However, in Richmond itself is a lay-by on the A316 which always seems to have one or two cars parked with steamed up windows (and some times they are open). It's the car-park opposite the pools in the park complex on the A316 leading from Richmond to Twickenham."

H: Twickenham - "Great opportunities on late Saturday/Friday nights and sometimes in the week - but late! For some reason my best results have been on Bank Holiday Mondays! It tends to be mostly straight and only a few willing exhibitionists - but still it's quite possible to sit quietly on a riverside bench and watch couples fucking openly in the front seats of their cars. Directions - (heading from Richmond) turn left off Heath Road at Abbey National, onto 'Riverside' continue down to river, turn left and park up. Simply stroll along the riverfront and select your vantage point!"

I: Walton-on-Thames - "Car-park next to Walton Bridge, occasionally... ...also down at the river on the Walton to Weybridge road down by the Vandals Rugby Club..."
