35. NORTH EAST - GENERAL
A: Arcott, Northumberland - "Just north of Newcastle off the A1 (turn off for Holiday Inn). Take second exit from roundabout as you leave A1 then first right along this road. Personally verified couple in 30s in red Sierra. She sucks him off and he flashes her (she wears very short top and skirt, no knickers). This is a gay area, however there are reports of other couples as the area has good walks through scrubland." Bill wrote: "Arcot is the lane running past Arcot golf club, near the Holiday Inn north of Newcastle. Exit A1 heading north for Holiday Inn and Cramlington. At roundabout take second left, then right across dual carriageway into the lane. Fun spots along here and in bushes on right at early part of lane and left past the club near the wildfowl lake."
B: Blyth, Northumberland - "The car-park between Blyth and Seaton Sluice next to the sand dunes has seen some activity on and off. This is a gay area also so caution is required. Note that couples activity in dunes during summer is generally good."
C: Dinnington - "The site is off a quiet road with the last half mile down a country lane. At the end of the lane it bends to the left before reaching the car-park so anyone in the car-park is aware of someone approaching well before they arrive. The car-park could hold no more than fifteen cars but there are picnic benches available for anyone bold enough to leave the warmth of the car. The car-park leads to a nature reserve with more picnic benches and an animal hide overlooking the lake. To reach the car-park: travel north over the Tyne on the Western Motorway (past the MetroCentre). Leave at the exit for Gosforth Park and follow the old A1 north so you are parallel to the road you have left. Cross the first roundabout and continue to the traffic lights with a pub facing you. At the traffic lights turn left and travel about a mile and a half till you come to the "Big Waters" pub on your right. Slow down and a little further on your right you will see the nature reserve sign pointing to the right. Turn and follow the path described above. As you drive down the single vehicle lane you will see two open areas on your right, these are also suitable but I would suggest only by arrangement with your viewers. As you arrive in the far car-park you will see instantly whether or not you are alone."
D: Gateshead, Tyne & Wear - "Have not participated in any way in this location but have seen lots of couples getting it together in cars in Gateshead. There is an area just off the A1 called Lady Park (honest that is what it is called, lol). Past the farm houses you then have a five to ten minute drive upwards into the wood and the hills and there are lots and lots of gateways and quiet roads and lay-bys where people get it together. Best advice I can give is if you spot someone then drive backwards and forwards two or three times as they won't be totally bothered as with cars going past very rarely at weekend nights then anyone who is shy tends to scarper if someone comes past once." Bill wrote: "Try Testo's roundabout on A19 South of the Tyne. From Gateshead take A184 east past Gateshead Stadium then carry on until just before A19. On left is lay-by with phone box set back from road. Action here at night, with a small farmtrack behind and parallel to lay-by. Also leave lay-by and turn right across carriageway into lane, where there is also action. Plessey Checks is the same exit but instead of turning right across the carriageway carry on to next roundabout. Turn left then down to next roundabout (Serck plant on left). Turn left (dead end). Lane is on right just past works entrance."
E: Jarrow - "Locals might like to try the car/coach park behind Bede's world, overlooking the Nissan loading yard. Some success there (but a few years back)."
F: Newcastle, Leazes Park - "Swinging couples have taken photos here..."
G: Ponteland/Belsay - "There is a lay-by on the A696(T) just between Ponteland and Belsay. It is a parking area just past the "Highlander" pub when going north (sharp turn-in on left, look out for the speed camera). There normally are a few couples there during the day and some in the evenings. Guys and truckers etc meet up there too as it is quite secluded. There also are a couple of TVs that cruise there." "This is eight miles from Newcastle, and three and a half miles from Ponteland, five hundred yard from the pub. An 'L' shaped lay-by, the crook of the 'L' being well hidden and dark at night. Regular couples putting on shows, some fucking/sucking etc if you are in luck, also gays at any time." (TLK) "Visited this site last week, watched two couples fucking during the day... ...sitting doing paper-work in the car at the time, that's as good an excuse as bird-watching any day!"
H: South Shields - "Two car-parks at Marsden, near the Rock, the first is a long car-park just down from the Marsden Grotto pub (not the pub car-park). At least one couple has been active here (light coloured Metro at that time), although possibly two or three more (to verify). This is also a good site for couples who don't know they are being watched." "The car-park by the pub has a fair proportion of 'normals' playing boyfriend/girlfriend games, it's quite well lit and VERY open from the main road (to Sunderland) so no opportunity to creep about! If you want to lurk, take a walk across the grass to the cliff-top path and amble along all innocent-like - you may strike lucky (or not). Try not to fall over the edge of the cliff, though!"
"Second is the cliff-top car-park next to Souter Points lighthouse..." "Have seen several couples fucking openly here, nice and dark, but prone to boy racers. One couple were in a white Social Services mini-bus with a wheelchair lift at the back, they got naked in the front and then climbed into the central corridor at the back where they fucked each other while I stood by the window and watched them from 18 inches away, another had a big mobile home, again the script was naked in front then into the back, this time on a bed (flash gits!) while I watched from outside (got a big smile and a kiss blown at me at one point but no more, still better than nowt!"
